Share Internet Connection for Clients, Easy Enable/Disable

Hello to all.

I have installed the latest version of OpenWRT in a virtual machine on an ESXi.
This machine has 2 Ethernet ports. One Eth0 is responsible for distributing IP addresses via DHCP including DNS for my network of 20-30 PCs.
On Eth1 the OpenWRT is a client of an internet router. I use DHCP with "3, 127.0.0.1" to tell the clients that their default gateway is themselves. This means that they have no Internet access.
I would like to solve this more elegantly. Also for individual clients.

What is the best way to do this via LuCi? Is there an add-in?

Click to switch the Internet on and off.

Best regards

If you let the OpenWrt be the gateway (as per default config), then you can easily manipulate the firewall and enable or disable the forwarding rules.

yes, exactly. i noticed that.

Firewall is still a closed book.

Can you recommend a tutorial?

AFAIK, you just need to:

  1. Remove the DHCP option, and let OpenWrt be the default gateway.
  2. In the screen you posted, enable or disable the forwarding from LAN to WAN.

i can solve my problem.
the right word was "Traffic Rules"

Thank you for your Help!
