Setting up an openwrt router with the ISP one before

Hi , i'm trying to have an openwrt router as my main router . Problem is that my ISP router has no bridge mode option .In my ISP router , i can't even change the DNS server, or have any Qos or sqm .

If i set my openwrt router in my ISP one DMZ , am i still secure connecting all my devices to the openwrt router and can i still benefit from the firewall , sqm .... of openwrt ?

So the scenario will be , Isp router as "modem" and for VOIP (only thing connected to it is the Openwrt router), and the Openwrt to connect all my devices ( computers , access points ...)

Sure that will work.

Make sure your OWRT router has a different address (=different subnet) then the ISP router.
But apart from that it should work out of the box

Thanks for the response . So with this solution i don't have to worry about double NAT ? I can just use the WAN port on my openwrt router normally

You will have double NAT and although not ideal, it is nothing to worry about , VoIP could be problematic but that has no double NAT as it still comes from the ISP router.
