Set OpenWRT as router

Dear all
I would like to config my Fritzbox 7430 as router between my DSL modem and my LAN. According to this site https://bitgrounds.tech/posts/getting-up-and-running-with-openwrt-on-fritzbox7430/ I have to do this by creating a VLAN via Network > Switch. But in menu Network there is no entry named Switch. Do I have to install a package or can I find the settings somewhere else?

Thanks in advance!

lantiq has been migrated from swconfig, which that outdated howto is based on, to DSA. Works just as well, just a little differently (semantics and syntax), see https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/dsa/dsa-mini-tutorial.

Btw., you can use the 7430 as xDSL modem as well (it's not that great of a router, 85-94 MBit/s throughput at most, 100-MBit/s ethernet ports, only 2.4 GHz 802.11n).

Thanks, this will be helpful.
How to configure as xDSL modem?

Check the bthub5a installation guide from https://openwrt.org/toh/bt/homehub_v5a#downloads, yes it's not the same router, but that one uses the same SOC and behaves largely the same, https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wan/isp-configurations also has some examples for modem setups.
