Set custom dns for lan clients

I have installed AdGuardHome ad blocking service on one of my computers on my home network. Now I need to somehow force openwrt to issue to clients via dhcp not the standard dns 192.168.1.1, but the address of the computer on which adguard is installed, let's assume it will be 192.168.1.97. In openwrt, I went to the Networks-interfaces-Lan(edit)-AdvancedSettings section and added the ip address of the computer with adguard in the Use customs DNS servers field. But despite this, all clients still receive dns 192.168.1.1 from openwrt instead of 192.168.1.97

That's not the right place. On the LAN interface, you should go to DHCP Server -> Advanced Settings and add the DHCP option 6 with the DNS addresses you want advertised in the DHCP-Options field. In your case, that would be 6,192.168.1.97.
