Hy everyone,
I´m new in this but I would like to do a project and I don´t know how to start - hopefully someone can help me out.
I have a test device which should be movable. That means sometimes I have a network connection with Lan - or WLan or 5G/ LTE with an ext. Antenna...
At all time I would like to connect this test device which has a LAN port to my network - with: I don´t know... Wireguard? or VPN? I don´t know what is the best solution?
I need to have this device available as a network Address in my home network.
Can someone help me with a good an strong hardware setup and software setup? I guess that OpenWrt is a good solution? Can I configure it easely with as an hotspot WLAN when it does not find any working connection of by pressing a button to request a WLAN to do the settings by mobile phone?
I would need 3 LAN ports, 24 VDC power (the test device runs at 24VDC, battery saved).
I hope this is not to confuse

If LTE is good enough, ZTE MF28??.
I have seen that a nanopi is available is this a good alternetive hardware?
May I use a normal raspberry and can I then use the BIN pins to send out status information in openwrt?
I guess it is ok to use USB to LTE stick and USB to LAN adapter - what is your recommendation?
Is it also possible to add a browser which starts automatically, with a screen connected to the Raspberry?
depends on the price
what BIN pins ?
on an RPi ? yes, it works.
openwrt doesn't have any local screen support.
only local interface is the text based console.
ok, thanks for your support - than a Raspberry pi has no extra if I do not have a screen with a browser available.
Do you know the MikroTik RB750GR3?
I guess this device is also supported. How can I connect a LTE USB modem? Do you know are any LAN to LTE modems available on the market?
Thanks in regard.
