Script to run at Event WANUP and Firewall Restart

hi everyone , i had a previous router with tomato , and it had a section in which you could run scripts at certain events like WAN up .
does openwrt have it too ?
i found scheduled tasks and crontab when googling but it runs at the specific given time and not specific events if i understood it correctly
what i want to do , is to run 2 scripts , one at WANUP and one at the restart of firewall
any help would be appreciated .
