I use winscp with scp protocol to access files on openwrt router. But from an android phone using andftp app cannot access.
Which app do you use to access files on openwrt router from an android phone?
Install openssh-sftp-server and use sftp on andftp.

scp <> sftp though, but if scp is supported, then great.
Yes, I can confirm that it works with scp too. Maybe in an older version it didn't and I had to use sftp. Thanks for the catch!
A nice option is Total Commander (sort of like an Android Midnight Commander). It has plugins for SFTP and for CIFS
