Hi
i have came across a problem when trying to
#Connect the smartphone to the USB port of the router with the USB cable, and then enable USB Tethering
from the Android settings. Turn on the phone's Developer Options
[Find the Build
information in the About Phone
menu, and tap rapidly 7x] . There is a Default USB Configuration, USB Tethering
option in Developer Options.#
It seems my Samsung Galaxy Flip 6 doesnt have that option on the screen. Im not sure where else to look in the phone. Ive followed the rest of the guide to connect the smart phone and cant seem to get it to connect to the internet. il try again in a few minutes and see what i can do.
Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </>
" button:
Remember to redact passwords, MAC addresses and any public IP addresses you may have:
ubus call system board
cat /etc/config/network
cat /etc/config/wireless
cat /etc/config/dhcp
cat /etc/config/firewall

Usually there is no need to use Developer options, change defaults, etc.
In my S23 the USB tether is in Network -> More settings , next to DoH
I found the option it was in the setting software information, hitting build number seven times unlocked the dev options in the about phone settings. At the bottom of the about phone settings the Dev options appeared. I clicked on USB settings and selected USB tethering. Slightly different from the wiki but i got there in the end.
The samsung galaxy flip 6 works with thethering.
