Samsung devices slow while connecting to a TP-Link TD-W8970 V.1.2

Hello all,

I'm using a TP-Link TD-W8970 V.1.2 router on which is installed OpenWRT, Chaos Calmer 15.05 and just Samsung devices, as a Tablet S2 and a GT-I9505 Galaxy S4, are slow.
In fact they do not exceed 8 Mbps in download speed, while the other devices reach 25 Mbps or more.
Ther's some settings to change in order to get the full speed also for those devices?
More, the web interface of the router don't work (I get the "Bad Gateway" error opening it), so I have to operate via CLI.

Any reason to keep this ancient, unmaintained and insecure version of OpenWrt on your router, instead of updating to a recent version?

Hello tmomas,

at the time I installed it, 15.05 was the recommended OpenWRT version for this router.
So you suggest to upgrade to a newer version I guess.

Using current, updated drivers by updating would be the first step on resolution

@Lele Current release should be 18.06.02.
