Hi...
Is there any way to run DHCP in a USB ethernet interface giving IP addresses for the same LAN segment than the LAN dedicated interface?.
I'm facing a bug with Intel vPro AMT technology (Dhcp server not working on LAN but it runs well on Wifi), where DHCP is not working over the LAN interface. For performance reason, I would prefer using this interface for LAN traffic management because it's connected through PCI, avoiding USB overhead . So I'm looking if it would be possible to use an external USB Ethernet interface for running the DHCP server giving IP addresses for the same LAN segment than the LAN interface. Would it be possible?
Regards,
have the DHCP via USB point the default GW (and DNS?) to the IP of the intel NIC ?
Add the usb interface into same bridge with LAN port.
