RTL8192CE Wifi causing "stall on CPU"

I have a MT7621 based router without WiFi. It has PCIE slot. So I got a RTL8192CE based WiFi card. The card is getting detected. But when I try to connect it to WiFi or if a device connects to WiFi access point, the whole device hangs. On the console port, I see following log which says that it detected stall on CPU.
How to solve such problem? I did search the forum but couldn't find anything that I can relate it to my issue.

I built an ADL server and it happens to have a RTL 2.5GE port on it. I ended up blacklisting the module because it doesn't work and it invokes the newer module and brings the interface up.

Even though this is for the Wired version of 8192 I suspect the same issue might be hitting your WIFI version causing the hang / panic.

rtl8192ce, a PCIe WLAN card (driven by the only basic and barely supported rtl8192ce module) is something very different as RTL8125, which would be a 2.5GBASE-T wired PCIe ethernet card (driven by the very actively supported r8169 module). Blacklisting r8169 won't do anything, nor would blacklisting r8168 (which would be an out-of-tree vendor driver, which is neither pre-installed, nor needed, nor at all usable for a wireless card).

I noticed one thing:

I am just wondering why is it showing Acer Incorported ALI? Is it that the card was suppose to be used in Acer Laptops? Or is there anything wrong with the way driver is detecting the device?

lspci -nn is usually more interesting, as it includes the numeric PCI IDs. But yes, the card was probably built by/ for Acer - this is normal behaviour and not a problem.
