I have been running the nightly build on my OrangePI R1 and it just works! awesome work. One think I would love to have or be told how to do it, is to get the wireless operational.
It is a SDIO based RTL8189ES chipset.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you for your time.
build it from source - run:
and select your driver there
Thank you for the quick reply, However I might be missing something but the RTL8189ES driver is not in the source.
I have found this https://github.com/jwrdegoede/rtl8189ES_linux, which I was going to attempt to compile a module for 17.01.4 from it.
I tried the openers from the OrangePi R1 site however I wasn't able to find the default logon, I tried root/orangepi and root/blank, but not go, and I am unsure of the version of OpenWrt I suspect it is 15.x.
I was wondering if some was able to point me in the right direction aka instructions to help me compile the RTL8198ES wireless driver for the Orange Pi R1 against the latest SDK, everything is working happily with the latest 17.01.4 snapshot except for the pesky wireless.
If anyone was able to help me that would AMAZING!
are you still using the Orange Pi R1?
