Hello I would like to know if anyone had success with this chipset? The kmod-usb-net-rtl8152 driver detects the adapter but connection stalls during the upload phase of a speedtest.
This post discuss a similar problem with adjustments for Windows, but I have no idea how to change these settings in openwrt.

Sure it's not a power issue ?
Yup. Total power use is 6W max with a 27W PSU. System is Raspberry Pi 4.
How does the external power supply relate to the maximal power output of the RPis USB port ?
Try a powered hub.
I do not have a powered hub to test, however during download at 600 Mbps the PI draws 1.2 Amps. During upload at 120 Mbps the PI draws around 0.85 Amps. I therefore do not think it is a power issue.
Are you using https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat for your speed tests "
I regularly have issues with that one I would suggest using a different one, Google has a speed test that always works for me
The Google speedtest completed twice, but failed the third time during upload.
I also tried the adapter on a Raspberry PI 5, which I recall can supply 1.6 Amps to the USB ports with same results. However the PI 5 provided much faster routing even with the on board gigabit interface so I am probably just returning the 8156B adapter.
I switched the adapter for one with RTL8156. That works perfectly well.
