RT3200 - Dual Radio - AC & AX?

Hi,

I have a Belkin RT3200 on Openwrt 23.05.5.

There are two radios listed: MediaTek MT7622 802.11b/g/n & MediaTek MT7915E 802.11ac/ax/n.

I have a Wireless setup for AC. When I click to add a new Wirelsss and set it to AX, the existing Wireless also changes to AX, in fact I think it may also 'inherit' the channel and width of the newly created AX Wireless. Is this normal ?!

I understand I have 2 radios, but I thought I could (surely) create 2 seperate wireless networks, 1 AC and 1 AX. Is it my understanding or a bug ?

I think I have worked it out - Wifi6 is still 5Ghz, I need Wifi6e to use 6GHZ ?
Thanks

The 2 GHz radio is neither AC or AX. It is n or slower. The 5 GHz radio by default operates as AX with fallback for lesser clients, or it can be limited to n or AC with the htmode setting. This is a global (per radio) setting, it affects all APs on the same radio.

Yes wifi 6 is AX in the 5 GHz band, and 6e extends to 6 GHz. The RT3200 is not 6e.
