Routers that might be around $50 that are decent for OpenWRT (I have an AP)

For anyone wondering I can say with confidence the cudy router works pretty well (WR3000). I have looked into other forums about the same router so I will suggest if you get one. Get openwrt via TFTP to avoid issues and don't factory reset it after installing the image or you might have a few latency issues. I assume from the drivers

This thing does away with 600mbps with sqm enabled its quite impressive and for a lower latency anywhere from +0ms to +5ms a slight reduction to 70% of your current bandwidth does the trick. With an AP it works even better but I am currently just using the Wi-Fi from it directly
