Probably not, but who knows.
How do I transfer the sysupgrade file to router? Do I need to set up some type of server?
It's the same as when you're backing up the mtd, but in the opposite direction.
I am lost right now.
I read the wiki but have no idea what it means.
I was at step 4:
" (important) Back up firmware(mtd7) partitions with: dd if=/dev/mtd7 of=/tmp/firmware.bin
and then download the firmware.bin image via SCP"
What is SCP?
I'm sure Google knows.
But I'm not taking the long route today, use winscp.
Hey mate. I have no idea what is going on with this router. I was able to connect via scp sever and download the reyee back up. I dropped in the sysupgrade.bin file in tmp folder and upgraded using command: sysupgrade -v /tmp/firmware_image.bin
I try to go to 192.168.1.1 but still nothing shows up. Openwrt snapshot is showing on putty but it just doesn't function.
Reread what I wrote 2h ago ?
Are you talking about installing the webUI, which I assume is a luCI? I assume I need to connect and to opkg update command?
Correct
Correct again
Or, go to https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=SNAPSHOT&target=mediatek%2Fmt7622&id=reyee_ax3200-e5, add luci to the package list, and flash the sysupgrade image one more time.
Thanks for all the help mate. I finally got the webui installed and showing on 192.168.1.1
Hello! Can someone help me with a fulldump for this router. Partitions made with OpenWrt are also good. Thank you!
Still got the RG-E5 dump I sent to the buyer of my device, drop me a PM with an email address.
But it's not the whole flash, only the mtd the wiki tell you to back up.
Perhaps @papaya4 can help with the rest ?
Bumping this thread, since they're now sold at $45.
