Looking at the wiki, it specifically states: calculates the revision by counting the number of commits since the LEDE repository was initially cloned from Openwrt.
This pre-dates my time here, but does this statement stiil stand.

Thanks, I’ve seen that, but I am looking at updating the wiki, and given the current date in the wiki, it seems somewhat contrary to today’s reality.
Really just looking for either confirmation or an update on when current OpenWrt commits commenced.
