Restoring original stock firmware on TP-Link TL-WPA8631P

No problem, I have the file ready, so just send me a PM with your email address.

Out of curiosity, do you simply patch the stock image, or do you need to modify the safeloader code too ?

Omg you´re a hero! I think I can´t send PMs yet...I just made this account 4 hours ago.

It's just a case or running as per the details in https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wpa8631p_v3 which just patches the OEM file. It was very straightforward.

File sent.
Best of luck

It worked. I couldn´t flash it via the Luci interface for some reason. It just booted back into OpenWrt. I had to flash via serial connection. Device is now working as intended.
Thank you so much. Let me know if you ever visit Vienna...I owe you a beer.

Hi @Nedaros I've also send you a PM, beacuse I can't make any working TP-WPA8631P stock firmware to rewert it back...

@allfakeflo might still have a copy too.

File just emailed. But looks like you have 2 now.
EDIT: Attachment blocked by Openwrt. In the past I have sent direct to OP email address. Will not resend as you have the copy from @allfakeflo

There used to be online tools to convert files for this, right?
I found this but apparently it´s not working anymore.
Does anyone know of an online tool that still works?

you can always generate your own tplink-safeloader binary from https://raw.githubusercontent.com/openwrt/firmware-utils/refs/heads/master/src/tplink-safeloader.c

Not online AFAIK, but it is included in the OpenWRT imagebuilder as described in https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wpa8631p_v3 under Reverting to Stock.
I'm no expert but it was very straightforward once you have access to a Linux box!
