Require_mode and rates

Am I right, that cell_density, basic_rate and supported_rates have no meaning with require_mode?

no one knows or my question is badly asked?

I've been thinking this for 3 days.

Are you setting a mode that existed before those values (i.e., 802.11b)?

nope, I'm talking about any rate that can be configured via cell_density, basic_rate or supported_rates

all possible 802.11b rates are: 1 2 5.5 11
all possible 802.11g rates are: 6 9 12 18 24 36 48 54

1.Only 802.11b/g can be configured via basic_rate/supported_rates, 802.11n and above rates are not allowed to configure here.
2. 802.11n or above rates have no intersections with 802.11b/802.11g rates

So if require_mode is defined to any value, all 802.11b/g rates are not used. So cell_density, basic_rate and supported_rates have no meaning with require_mode?

Perhaps someone else can chime in with a better-worded response, as I don't understand the conern - since you proceeded to mention 802.11b and g (which is why I asked my question).

Correct (if I understand your inquiry). I stated it differently:
