Don't see this question asked elsewhere so here it is, any schedule plan for any release, isn't that part of the reason LEDE was forked, that is, better communications, regular stable releases,etc.

There was some talk about the release schemes here (and jow shows up at post 19) What should we call the current builds?

I guess the still unrelsolved discussion regarding merging openwrt and LEDE was not a motivator for a new release. However there is promising progress in this area: http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/lede-adm/2016-December/000293.html.
