Recommendations for a Low Cost Router and Extender with MoCA support

Hey all.
I recently moved into my own apartment and am wanting to switch to using a router that can use OpenWrt. I am using the 500Mbps FiOS home internet only plan.
My current setup is a Verizon CR1000A router and a Verizon E3200 extender which my computer is plugged into as the main router is in my laundry room.

The Extender is connected to the router via MoCA/Coax. I can't run my own Ethernet cables though the wall so using the existing Coax is my only option.

I am looking to replace both the router and the extender as I'm renting the extender for 10$ a month.

What would you recommend to get in this case? I have a budget of around 200$

Thank you.

Did you see Looking for a router with MoCA support ?

Oh, I missed this, thank you! Reading though now

Alright so my best bet would be to buy really any OpenWrt supported router and a standard extender, and just use coax to Ethernet adapters?

My understanding you probably need a pair of MoCA adapters and router + AP combo.
It would be nice to see a diagram of your setup as you envision it.

I

Router and Extender/AP are labeled as such. Both would be providing the same connection for wireless like any old generic router and AP combo.

Green line is the coax cable.
Red line is the Ethernet cable that would come out of the AP into my PC.
The white squares would be just any old wireless device like a phone or IoT stuff. I'm realizing that I didn't really have a need to include them on the diagram tho.

Well, then it maps to

Alright! Thank you for your assistance! I greatly appreciate it
