Recommendation on package to send mail from mdadm, cron etc

Any recommendations for a package to send emails from the openwrt device? This is a NAS and would like to send mail from mdadm and maybe cron and smartctl. I am no guru, but I setup a Debian box to do this with exim. I know I could use postfix, but it is pretty big and this device only has 16M of flash so hoping for some smaller option.

I use ssmtp for exatly the same purpose.

Heads up, it looks like ssmtp has been removed from master and is not in the snapshot builds. msmtp is and I was able to get it going. Thanks for the tips.
