Recommendation for router with the most customizable capabilities

Hi All,
I am looking for a router to use as a test device for wifi and as such would like to know if you have any recommendation about a router with the most customizable options? Support for 802.11ac, 802.11n and MIMO 3x3 too.

Have control of most radio options through the software. I know some routers do not allow tuning of all the wifi features - so one that has as many features enabled would be best.
I was looking at the open WRT router board on amazon - but it did not support 802.11n.

I was looking at a few boards with enclosures designed to run openWRT with Banana Pi. they were missing 11n
