I'm trying to use the OrangePI PC Plus as Wifi access point, but the stable version doesn't seem to have WiFi support.

Is this made progress and got merged into the development version?

Afaik no, and nobody seems to be working on it https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/search?q=RTL8189FTV&type=code
only mention of it in OpenWrt sourtce code is in the commit that added support for this device, where the contributor said "wifi does not work".

i've tried to make rtl8189fs but mac80211.sh doesn't seem to support. there are some steps you have to do to change in mac80211.sh
