I am using openwrt as secondary router connected to main router (wan) wirelessly.
I can ping devices connected to main router from openwrt but not vice versa.
Is there any way to reach devices connected to openwrt through the main router
different subnets ?
firewall in-between ?
Yes, both main router and openwrt router having different subnets.
Main router - 192.168.43.1/24
Openwrt - 192.168.43.2/24
Output of uci show network

typo, I assume.
Any special reason for keeping the two units on diff networks ?
On the main router, configure a route:
- destination: 192.168.42.0/24
- next hop: 192.168.43.2
Also allow forwarding from wan to lan zone and disable masquerade on wan zone.
(wrong thread)
Main router(tenda n301) just allows basic features.
No routing option is there
Can you provide me a better method.
I am using openwrt as a range extender but it has some features like dns server, vpn so I am using it with different subnets from main router
Port-forwarding from main router to OpenWRT's WAN address in the same subnet?
Corresponding port-forwarding on OpenWRT to devices behind it?
