I've been having random restarts/reboots recently, but nothing in the log (it restarts on power down/up)..

Do you encounter any problems with normal OpenWRT?
NMI usually is sent on hardware damage, like running out of thermal envelope, or unplugging "hot" pci cards.

I've only ever ran the Kong build.. Prior to OpenWRT I've been running DD-WRT on this unit happily for a few years.

I am waiting for the release of 24.10 to upgrade to that and see if that improves anything.

Try the vanilla R7800 image, just to rule out a hw issue.
