Radio 5Ghz never came up netgear R7800

I recently acquired an R7800 router, which has the issue where neither the 2.4 GHz nor the 5 GHz Wi-Fi signals can be detected by any device, even though both radios are enabled by default. This issue occurred when the router was running the stock OEM firmware.

I then attempted to flash the router with OpenWRT firmware to see if the same issue persisted with the OEM firmware. The result was that the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal became detectable when the radio was enabled via the LuCI interface. However, the 5 GHz radio did not appear in the wireless tab in LuCI.

What I have done so far includes trying to revert to the stock firmware using the TFTP method and reflashing with several OpenWRT versions (22.05.3, 22.05.5, and 24.10.0-rc4). I also manually added configurations in /etc/config/wireless. The 5 GHz radio appeared in the LuCI tab, but the device showed up as "generic unknown." Additionally, I removed the Candela driver and replaced it with a non-Candela driver, but the result was still the same.

What I know is that there is a message in the dmesg logs indicating that the radio is detected, but its status cannot UP. Below, I will attach the dmesg details from my device.

Based on your story, it sounds unlikely that it would be a software issue.

Dmesg log shows that only one PCI radio device is recognized, not two like normally.
There is no trace of a failing attempt to find the other radio.
Both ath10k_pci 0000:01:00.0 and ath10k_pci 0001:01:00.0 should be visible in the log.
Might be a radio hardware problem.
