R7800 Router not working with Virgin Media modem

I've got a Netgear R7800 running ACwifidude's NSS build, which I tested at my house plugged in to my fibre modem and that worked fine.

I'm now trying to install it at my parents house. They have Virgin Media, so I've set the VM cable box to modem mode, which changes it's GUI address from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.100.1, and I've checked that its showing online.

I've connect LAN port 1 on the VM box to the WAN port on the R7800 but it's not getting any internet access. The Overview page shows IPv4 Upstream with address 192.168.0.2/24, Gateway 192.168.0.1, DNS 194.168.4.100 and 194.168.8.100, and Device "Software VLAN "eht0.2". The Routing page shows wan as having "Target 0.0.0./0" and "Gateway 192.168.0.1" and all the devices plugged into the LAN ports have 192.168.1.x addresses assigned by DHCP.

Under Network-Interfaces, wan is set to DHCP client eth0.2 and wan6 is set to DHCPv6 client eth0.2.

I haven't changed any settings on the R7800 since testing it at my house.

I can't post the System log as it exceeds the post size limit, but I could upload it as a txt file somewhere if it would be helpful.

Try the following:
Power down VM box and R7800.
After a minute power up VM
After 5 minutes power up R7800.

Other thing to try is cloning mac address of old router to R7800

Thanks. I seem to have fixed this now by just ticking "Use broadcast flag" under Interfaces-wan-Advanced Settings.

Now the Overview page shows the IPv4 Upstream as Address 86.x.x.x/23 and the Gateway as 86.x.x.x, with the same DNS servers as before.

VM cable installs are notorious for responding slowly to changed downstream MAC addresses in modem mode. I've always had to power cycle the modem/hub/superhub to force a charge. Glad you fixed it though!

Good to know for future reference, thanks. I'm having troubles with the WiFi on this R7800 now, but I'll make a new post about that.
