R7800 ipv4 not detected

Hi guys I've been a long time DD-WRT user and decided to check out OpenWRT.
I have a R7800 router and installed this firmware OpenWrt SNAPSHOT r24601-682f8fe7e7 / LuCI Master git-23.292.78363-ee6a4da (hnyman build for R7800)

Reason i tried build from hnyyman is because stock openwrt did the same thing

I'm having a lot of trouble and even though people online have had similar issues as me nothing Ive tried has helped.

I flashed several times, reset etc but nothing has changed, however I know what causes the ipv4 not detection issue but dont know how to fix it.

Currently I have reflashed firmware and left everything as stock and only setup my wan adapter. My pc is hardwired to the router via a lan switch, if I leave my ip adapter as acquire IP via DHCP then it doesnt detect ipv4. If I set a static IP ipv4 is detected and browsing works as normal. DHCP range is as default start 100-150.

I tried using cloudbase DNS servers this made no difference, is there something I should be looking at more closely.

Edit: I tested the exactly same settings on an old R7000, and that works as it should

At all times the WAN is connected to the internet if this helps

Is it a secret ?

What's a wan adapter ?

That's kind of expected.

What OS and HW does the client run?

Thanks I'm running windows 11, however its all my devices on my home dont work.
When I refer to wan adapter I'm referring to wan interface.

Ive gone back to DD-WRT, I will have another go with a spare router I have, Ive spent a couple of long nights already and the family is getting annoyed without internet.

Put the router behind another router, connected lan-wan.
They won't even know it's there.

Just make sure the lan side subnets differ, and the wifi's disabled, or at least different than the default one.
