Question about "Perform Reset"

I just want to to clarify the following question.
If I install a stable release like 24.10, and then upgrade a bunch of packages, then hit "reset", does the reset function also downgrade the stock packages again or do those packages remain upgraded?

I was wondering if this function works differently for a OpenWrt Router that has a SPI-flash for firmware, and then storage as well, vs for example, a raspberry pi, which only has an SD card.

Was just confused about that.

Don't do it https://openwrt.org/meta/infobox/upgrade_packages_warning, and it does.

If you want to upgrade more than one package consider luci-app-attendedsysupgrade or command line asu or owut to upgrade all packages at once.

As long as 'reset' = 100% recoverability from a 'soft-brick' (which seems to be the case from my understanding), then I am okay with playing around with it and soft-bricking it multiple times. But yeah, it gets old relatively quickly, I will just let it be. But I needed to play around with the packages to get a better grasp of what is going on. I am still trying to get used to this firmware, it looks very intimidating at first, but I am getting a much better understanding of it after a few days of tinkering.
