Question about Hostname, Public IP address, and Papertrail

Before somebody redirect me to asking to Papertrail, I already did, but they didn't provide an answer, so I ask from the OpenWrt side of things:

When I log to Papertrail from OpenWrt, they record the Router name. When I do the same from other third-party firmwares, it record the IP address. When I want to remotely access an OpenWrt device, we need to get its public IP address, but Papertrail doesn't help, therefore I wonder whether: a)there would be a quick way to report the address instead of the name, to avoid having to set up and mantain a DDNS, or an script. Else, b)what could we change on the Papertrail settings in order to display the IP address instead of the name (because obviously the message was sent from the IP address of interest). Does somebody know?

The quick (and easy) way is to set up DDNS. Once set up it shouldn't require much (if any) maintenance.

You'll need to find that out from Papertrail.
