Are you only using the 10G ports?
On one of them yes, on the other one, no, the 1g ports have never had an issue, or the wan port, just the lan2 port.
Ok, then only GDM2 and GDM4 counters should move. Iāll see if I can update my scripts to support the XSI data paths.
It could be that the SoC loses the phy sync. But when we have the counters we can pin point where we start to loose packets.
I think I have same issues using both 10G ports, sometimes after laptop rebooted the 10G port wonāt get IP without ip link set dev lan2 down & ip link set dev lan2 up.
This could possibly because I removed the interrupts in the 10G ports because the driver crashes with irqbalance on.
Perhaps disabling irqbalance and adding back the interrupts in the DTS would work in this particular situation?
I'll try, it did not happen this morning (but it only had 8h or so of uptime, not sure if that was long enough), or it was related to be disabling stp on the bridge. Once I am sure of reproducing it, and if what I adjusted yesterday affected it, I'll give it a try and see, probably be a week for results though.
The phy should not issue any interrupts during normal operation. It should only emit interrupts during link changes. Can you link to a back-trace when it crashes?
Basically if interrupts are defined and irqbalance is on, it never finishes booting. Something like this: https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/pull/20450#issuecomment-3645719898
It looks like an interrupt storm. It was my plan to connect an oscilloscope to the interrupt line, but I haven't found the time to do it yet.
Is the 10G functionality still not working properly with firmware version 32538?
10g has been a bit more temperamental for me with the latest few builds. Namely it seems as if there is a link state change to devices connected to either of the 10g ports it will lose connection. Not every time I shutdown or power up or reboot the PC but that is the common event that causes it. WiFi isnāt affected, just lan side 10g but as wan side link state doesnāt change as I donāt routinely power cycle my modem Iām not sure if the same issue would occur. I havenāt got the chance to dig into it deeper and try with irq feature off as I know I do have that on.
Thank you for your help. My W1700K is unable to obtain an IP address normally via DHCP under any circumstances on the 10G interface.
Please don't post screen shots, they're useless.

Back to the chat about paying for a Dev to get some hardware and saying thanks for those who have already contributed, what do we think we should do? I could pull this into another thread but I am quite grateful to everyone who hooked us up with excellent Wifi7 APs. I'm quite liking the unit and I would have had to pay like $150+++ to get something half as good.
Poll: New Thread for donation? Y or N
Otherwise, perhaps just DM me that you're in for some money and I'll collect pledges for the next couple weeks. I'll try to post somewhere what people have pledged and then we can find a way to send it where it needs to go? I wish it was easy to just say thanks somehow ![]()
Edit: https://ko-fi.com/
It's free, and allows people to send money. 5% transaction fee is all. Perhaps OP could set one up and I'll send him some cash
pcs_config failed, that is no good.
This is a known issue. There is no one working on it AFAIK.
The only workaround is to reboot the device. My device with this issue sees this in roughly 9 out of 10 boots. Keep rebooting. Once it boots up and works it will stay working.
Have never seen this error through several devices and dozens and dozens of builds, and don't recall any prior reports of this, either.
Might be an actual hardware defect. It does happen, rarely.
The problem with this plan, as has been mentioned previously, is there is just no one to send a device or money to.
If you want to raise money for an end goal, how about my wild plan to convince management to drop the vaporware Openwrt Two and open negotiations with Gemtek to make the W1700k the Openwrt Two instead?
I totally support that! Where do I sign the petition? ![]()
