I had this issue of wirless hanging on initial and 6.6 builds, device setup as normal AP.
In my case it hangs after certain time and changing channel fixes it for sometime.
Another minor bug

The stock firmware file is listed in /etc/config/axon_platform_manager and it is a plain HTTP, unauthenticated URL. I was able to download the file. Not listing it here, but you can find it there.
I just received my unit and it started at U-Boot 2014.04-rc1 (Dec 01 2023 - 14:34:20) AXON 1.6 and firmware version WXK001-05.00.30.02. After connecting it to the Internet it self-updated within a few minutes to U-Boot 2014.04-rc1 (Jun 12 2024 - 08:14:34) AXON 2.0 and firmware version WXK001-05.00.31.06. Iām going to block my unit MAC in my firewall until I can block the self-updater in the unit config.
Protip: Donāt use ārebootā (the CLI command) in failsafe. It doesnāt save /etc/config changes. Pull the power plug to reboot.
There are two daemons that talk to the internet on the stock firmware.
anld
avec_producer
anld - appears to be from Mediatek. It looks like the firmware updater service. I guess it phones home to Mediatek. I have not debugged what the traffic looks like. Stop with āservice disable anldā should stop part of the self-updating firmware ability.
avec_producer - It appears to be the ISP cloud management service (using Apache Pulsar). It talks to the ISP server for wireless management and firmware update commands. Setting the āorchestratorā āenableā flag to ā0ā in /etc/config/axon_platform_manager stops this from running. This should stop the phone home to the ISP management service.
Maybe this was already diagnosed but this thread is quite large now and I donāt recall seeing these services listed.
This is new information. Nothing like this has been reported.
I was mistaken about "anld"... it is the GPS service. I see hurrian previously documented there is a GPS in this router. I took the coordinates saved in /etc/default/anld/location.dat and they are for my house. Fun.
The "anld" service is controlled via axon_platform_manager and can be disabled there in the "gps" section of /etc/config/axon_platform_manager. Setting "service anld disable" is overwritten by axon_platform_manager.
For those of you wanting to unhide the stock firmware:
- service axon_platform_manager stop - I have not been able to find the config setting yet.
- Set mapd (multi-AP daemon, proprietary?) to unhide:
# uci set mapd.4.hidden='N'
# uci set mapd.5.hidden='N'
# uci set mapd.6.hidden='N'
# uci commit
# service p1905_managerd restart
After a minute the AP should appear. You can find your AP passphrase in either the /etc/config/wireless file or /etc/map/wts_bss_info_config.
Iāve discovered a way to enable UNII-4 on this device. These are channels 169, 173, and 177 on the 5Ghz band. Importantly, this enables a 160Mhz wide channel between 149 and 177, only the third 160Mhz channel in 5Ghz, and the only one that doesnāt require DFS radar scanning.
To enable this requires only a slight change in the DTS file and a fix in the regulatory database. If you would like to test, you will need to sysupgrade to the latest version here: https://github.com/OpenWRT-fanboy/w1700k (updating just the regulatory database wonāt work)
Note that no WiFi client and few routers/APs support UNII-4. The use case for this is really for mesh setups. However, you can set a 160Mhz channel at 149 and unsupported clients will drop down to 80Mhz automatically.
Can anyone here give the OEM Power Supply Unit specs for this device?
Got a brand new unit from
Quantum Fiber W1700K Wifi Bluetooth Internet Router NIBā:fire: | eBay. Thereās still a few left. Surprised no one from Europe hasnāt tried to go through the shipping hassle to buy the remaining lot. Should be able to resell easily to European enthusiasts and make a small profit for the effort.
Does it have EU plug or only USA standard?
Look at the input voltage too .. only 120volts. For Eu you need converter or new power supply.

In Argentina we use 220 volts and this adapter hasn't exploded yet, so it supports European voltage.
Can you put a README.md file in your repo? Please describe what feature sets are available and what is not available and/or the experimental status of a feature.
Also, please document where and how you built your images. I certainly don't trust a binary image with no source and only known as "OpenWRT-fanboy". Looks fake (IMHO). No offense intended.
Itās not meant to be user friendly. Itās just a resource for those on this thread. Everything you need to know is posted here.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/135875159907 will accept $30 if you buy more than one, at least they did for me.
shipping is free.
Where do they get these things? This shoulda been OpenWrt Two!
Surplus ? Overstock ? or some local Quantum rep gone belly up ?
I've secured four of these.
Thanks.
