Qualcommax NSS Build

Well, I did something... and it worked!

Obviously because I am not a dev I went crude way and downloaded board-2.bin file from https://git.codelinaro.org/clo/qsdk/oss/ath11k-bdf/-/blob/NHSS.QSDK.12.2/IPQ8074/hw2.0/WLAN.HK.2.5.0.1/WLAN.HK.2.5.0.1-01201-QCAHKSWPL_SILICONZ-1/board-2.bin?ref_type=heads, as I presumed a bit older file could not be 'limited'. Apart from that the choice was more or less random (obiously I aimed at correct chipset and revision).

I just then replaced board-2 file in /lib/firmware with downloaded one and rebooted.

Now the effect:

  • radio 0 stayed named correctly in luci, all usual options were there.
  • radio 1 (2ghz) stayed the same and configured
  • radio 2 probably got disabled? It now says 'generic unknown' instead of usual 'qualcomm atheros... etc.'

So I just configured radio 0 for 160mhz ax at channel 36 and after minute of dfs check it went up! Please note, that I haven't done anything else - caldata has not been modified in any way (firmware is stock @asvio build I have reflashed and reset yesterday).

Talk about beginners luck!

But in general thank you to everyone @BrainSlayer @lytr @anom3 that helped and pointed me to the correct path - I know it's not elegant and I don't even know if it's going to work long term - but it works now and I will keep testing, so if there is anything weird I will let the community know.

cheers!
