Do you have static leases rules set for your clients?
For most of my regular devices I've set static leases (based on their MACs). Most of my WiFi clients that have static leases (except for two Samsung Smart Phones) authorize to the WLAN but cannot get IPs from DHCP after that. Hence the connection to Internet is not successful. Then I change their settings so they connect without static leases rules and all devices successfully get IPs and establish a connection.
I saw that you committed this to your repo.
I've decided to try this changed smp_affinity script.
For now I have 100-150 MB more available memory (260-300 MB free most of the time) and seems that memory recovers faster than before. Let's see how it goes with it. It's good to have some fun here.

This version does not include NSS offload for WiFi

I am redo the repos over the latest commit from OpenWRT.

Changelog (include upstream of OpenWRT):

Updated kernel and NSS code to 6.1.69
Update the stack of NSS to 12.4
Updated the fimware of IoT antenna (ath10k-ct) to kernel 6.4

Notes:

The build is compiled with GCC 13.2
The TCP congestion protocol by default is BBR
By default, the radio0 (IoT) is off (you can enable in LUCI) and the radio 1 y 2 is on.
The default country code for the wireless is US for avoid issues with the 160 MHZ because not having a specified country code

Try the above script.
Just change the file smp_affinity in /etc/init.d/ with this changed version using WinSCP and reboot.
No need to recompile or do anything else.

tried to apply the script, monitoring memory usage.

update: memory frees when heavily using wifi (speedtest). when idle, it eats free memory.

This is a known issue. The wifi driver uses a lot less memory if wifi is being used. I have a wifi camera, if I disconnect it, the memory used grows a lot. If I connect it again, the memory used is reduced.

Is there a way to use the pre-built release as a base to customize the packages and build a sysupgrade binary? Or I need to use the buildinfo files, modify them and build from source code myself? New to building openwrt from source so really don't want to mess it up.

Obviously there is still memory leak and RAM exhaustion seems higher and probably the current situation is similar with Non-NSS builds too.
I hope that at least it doesn't crash with OOM.
That is the current situation with NSS wifi build.
In my case after 40 hours uptime, with torrent client running the available RAM falls to 5-10%. When not running a torrent client Total Available Memory ramps up to 15-25% (~150-200 MB).
I've additionally set the following values in /etc/init.d/qca-nss-pbuf to see if there is any difference but for now I cannot tell unambiguously the one or the other is better or not.
