Provide an optional LuCi interface on snapshot images

I just made the mistake to flash a snapshot image on TP-link Archer C50 v6. I didn't really know it came without an interface :open_mouth: .

Imagine my excitement when my autistic ass thought "hey I use nixos as a daily driver - configuring some wifi router won't be a problem."

Even though I had the docs in front of me (thanks to my mobile internet) and hours at my disposal, I spent my time factory resetting my router after losing ssh connection because of a change.

https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wan/isp-configurations#o2

I'm in Prague. This guide did not help me. Is it inaccurate or what am I supposed to change?

I tried to enable vlan reading the vlan docs here:
https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/vlan/switch_configuration

I tried to set the pppoe user/pass to what the ISP (O2) gave me.

I tried doing both at the same time.

I tried doing them separately.

I tried to change the lan interface a few times and it broke ssh for good every single time.

I tried to install LuCi by manually downloading every single package.

I tried praying to the internet gods.

Configuring stock firmware - 5m.
Configuring owrt snapshot firmware - ∞m + an arm + a leg + human sacrifice.

I read somewhere on the forum during my coffee-fueled config rampage that "some people find it easier to configure owrt with files".
Well, some people find it easier to walk barefoot everywhere but that doesn't stop you from wearing shoes, does it? (I really hope you're wearing shoes)

I enjoy fiddling with tech as much as the next autist but please tone it down. I want to connect to the internet already. If you like doing it so much then leave your phone on the site and I'll call you if I need help.

Or simply put the interface as an option.

Use https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=SNAPSHOT&target=ramips%2Fmt76x8&id=tplink_archer-c50-v6, click the tiny arrow, and then "Request build".

The new sysupgrade image will have the webUI.
SCP it over to the router's /tmp folder, and run sysupgrade /tmp/image.name.img via ssh.

hello, for the Arcadian AW1000 would it be the same?

yes, it would, using the link to the AW1000 image.
