Proper NTP configuration

I tried to configure ntp as a client and server on OpenWrt 23.05.2. And there was no luck.

Please show /etc/config/system where you enabled the NTP server in the config.

Why does the busybox-ntpd works only on a ipv6 interface? Any ideas?

Once enabled the NTP server listens on on IPv4 as well as IPv6s. See this thread:

First, NTP is UDP, not TCP. This explains why some of your tests ended up in no responses. Next: I have the same behavior, I haven't noticed a change since version 19 or 20. On a client: ntpdate -q 192.168.1.1 This works for me, which made me wonder why. The answer is IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses.
