@WildCarrot : i tried with those, did not find success.
@frollic : how to do that? I tried yesterday, after restart i get logged out and after that the logs are not new.
You can try
/etc/init.d/p910nd restart
and have a 2nd ssh session running in which you check the logs.
Not sure if that is the actual name of the command since I don't use it but if you look in /etc/init.d/ you should see the different scripts
ok now i opened two terminals - entered /etc/init.d/p910nd restart
after doing logread -f
There is NO output. it registers ddns update. but not p910nd
Ok; maybe you'd like to have a look here https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/services/print_server/p910nd.server#with_zeroconf: I got awful headaches trying to print from my Linux Mint PC and got this solution; it works for printing from any Windows PC and Android tablet/phone in my house as well.
Moreover, I'd suggest to do what described here https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/services/print_server/p910nd.server#p910nd_process_stdout_to_system_log to have more useful logs.
Last and maybe least (because I've a different and old USB 1 printer and no IPV6), here follows what I've installed:
kmod-usb-core
kmod-usb-storage
kmod-usb2
kmod-usb-uhci
kmod-usb-printer
luci-app-p910nd
My printer is not listed in openprinting.org.
So i assume zeroconf might not work?
I don't know, but my printer is an HP Deskjet 3050 and I can't find it in openprinting...
Just upgraded to 24.10.0: the printer still works.
something i am not doing right.
Tried to establish zerconf or mdns as per guide but did not find success.
if you dont mind can you post your printers connectivity page?
