PPPoE connection errors, noob struggling

Hello everything, I'm new to this so sorry if I have to ask for help, I've been running a Hnyman build on my R7800 and set it up multiple times and it works, but I've just tried to use my RPi4 instead and can't seem to get it to work.

I've used build image and made a very simple image, no wireguard, VPN, clans etc.... Basically all defaults for the RPi4 and Luci... It's built fine, loads fine and I can use Luci.

I've got a tp-link UE300 USB Ethernet adaptor with it's driver installed... I should mention.

So it boots up with just a LAN interface, so I made a new interface, called it WAN, set it to PPPOE, my username and password, tagged it to the firewall WAN and saved it.

I now have the interface, it connects to ISP shows me my static IPV4 and IPV6 address then instantly disconnects and says 'unknown error user requested'. It will then slowly increase the RX TX figures for about 30 secs, then it will do the same, it'll grab my ISP static address then instantly disconnects.

I've checked and it's not a password or username issue.

I have noticed the r7800 build has a WAN_6 interface as a DHCPv6 client, I've not done that, the r7800 also gets a virtual interface created when it joins my ISP, the RPi4 also tries to get the virtual interface but it disconnects before it gets the chance to be operational, it appears then disappears.

Right then, I've just set up the DHCPv6 interface too, so when it's my lunch I'll try and see how it goes.

Bingo that's done the trick... So it has to have the DHCPv6 configured to work....
