My e8450 has been installed with the latest version of openwrt system. Today, after a sudden power outage at home, it cannot be started and the display light does not turn on. What should I do?The power adapter is ok
Looks like that router needs 12 volts DC at 3 amps, Check the adapter with a volt meter or try a known working adapter of the same voltage and amps
The power adapter is ok
What makes you certain that power adapter is ok? Sometimes voltage might be ok, but it might still turn off under any load. The best would be to try with another adapter or any other 3 A capable 12 V power source, like PC ATX PSU.
If you’re 100% sure your power adapter is fine, you can open your device and inspect for any visible damage.
It sounds like you may be hitting the issue described in for example Belkin RT3200/Linksys E8450 WiFi AX discussion - #4000 by wavejumper00 and Belkin RT3200/Linksys E8450 WiFi AX discussion - #4085 by Lynx where a bunch of peoples' RT3200/E8450 couldn't start after a power cycle with no LED activity just as you, which the probable root cause was identified in Belkin RT3200/Linksys E8450 WiFi AX discussion - #4002 by daniel.
@daniel can probably advise you how to fix it, or post in the linked thread about your issue.
Open it up, plug it in and, with a multimeter, start looking for a bad capacitor or resistor.
I guess I'd start with the connector where it connects to the board and then the 12v next to tx, rx and ground.
Aren't they all?
It's too complicated for me, I just want to make sure if it's a hardware issue, and if it is, then I'll call someone for repairs, and I'll just refresh the system.
Most people do not know this but surge suppressors die a death of tens of strokes.
Every time they suppress a surge, they lose little of their ability. TL;DR, replace them every 2-3 years.
Hi, buddy. Same as my router. Do you know how to fix it? Thanks very much.
