As I tried to debrick my router (TL-MR3420 v1) as per the following guide I mistyped the memory address (0x810000 instead of 0x81000000), overwriting the wrong part. Is it possible to download and flash a full firmware image and/or the lost code? The router is still on and serial+tftp seems to work
if TFTP works, try https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-mr3420#flash_via_tftp
is it still working, or did you discover your error before rebooting ?
which command did you mistype, cp.b
or tftpboot
?
which command did you mistype, anyway ?
tftpboot 0x810000 code.bin
(should be 0x81000000
)
is it still working, or did you discover your error before rebooting ?
Haven't yet rebooted, I'm afraid due to the typo the bootloader might not work anymore. I don't have much experience in these things
tftpboot only loads the bin into RAM from the TFTPd, you should be fine.
cp.b writes it.
