Recently i tried to forward ports. I did everything i could (using instructions), but transmission and canyouseeme.org shows that my port is closed. I tried using upnp, but it gives 718 error or actionFailed error in insecure mod. When i get 718 error logs of the miniupnpd are clean. Please, help me fix this (redmi 4c)
Do you have a proper public ip on your openwrt wan?
What are the first 2 octets of:
ifstatus wan | grep address
(In bold: aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd)
"ipv4-address": [
"address": "10.33.ccc.31",
I hope it doesnt gonna make me insecure
(i know that with ip u cant find a house)
Nope... the way you redacted is fine... but more importantly, you do not have a public IP. So port forwarding and upnp won't work because of this.
Do you have another router in front of the OpenWrt one? Perhaps an ISP issued one?
Aw, i have no other router in front, i heard about STUN, can it help me?
You can try STUN, but I don't have any experience with it, so I cannot advise. It may be hit-or-miss, but in general, when you are behind NAT/CG-NAT, you may not get these things to work.
It would be worth asking if your ISP is able to issue you a public IP (they might or might not charge extra for it), as that makes everything much easier. If that path doesn't make sense or isn't possible, then look into STUN.
Thanks, i think im going to ask my ISP
