Port forward doesn't seem to work

Firewall NAT rules always override locally open ports.
DNS-based solution is a preferable way over hairpinning to avoid redundant traffic.

@vgaetera you are a beacon of light in an otherwise endless void. But I'm done here. OpenWRT is fundamentally broken if this doesn't work after three days of testing. I went back to stock, but even though OpenWRT isn't even on the router anymore I'm still getting the LuCI login page for this garbage piece of software, even after clearing history, cookies, and cache.

I greatly regret ever downloading this.

Going back to stock firmware gave me a bunch of SSL errors, I discovered that one of the vhost.conf files was misconfigured. Deleting this gave me normal and expected access to my server through the domain name, outside the network. I reinstalled OpenWRT for shits and giggles and everything worked as expected.

Turns out my server really was mis-configured. No idea why it worked before!
