Please help regarding error message

I get a lot of these:

Sun Oct  3 14:43:04 2021 daemon.err odhcpd[1609]: Failed to send to ::%lan6@br-lan (Permission denied)
Sun Oct  3 14:43:04 2021 daemon.err odhcpd[1609]: Failed to send to ::%wan6@eth1 (Permission denied)
Sun Oct  3 14:43:04 2021 daemon.err odhcpd[1609]: Failed to send to ::%lan@br-lan (Permission denied)
Sun Oct  3 14:43:04 2021 daemon.err odhcpd[1609]: Failed to send to ::%wan6@eth1 (Permission denied)
Sun Oct  3 14:43:04 2021 daemon.err odhcpd[1609]: Failed to send to ::%lan6@br-lan (Permission denied)
Sun Oct  3 14:43:04 2021 daemon.err odhcpd[1609]: Failed to send to ::%wan6@eth1 (Permission denied)

What might cause that?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I've removed my lan6 definition (back to lan, wan and wan6). Now I get only this message, but in multiples and often:

Thu Oct  7 12:06:10 2021 daemon.err odhcpd[1715]: Failed to send to ::%wan6@eth1 (Permission denied)

Can anyone suggest how to determine what is being sent and not permitted?
Otherwise, IPV6 seems to be working OK.

Im just guessing, but it seems your dhcp is trying to communicate with the wan interface. Are your br-lan and wan on different firewall zones?

Have you searched this forum and tried the solutions to the similar questions asked over the years?

Two firewall zones, lan and wan (includes wan and wan6). That seems consistent with all the examples I've seen.

Yes, have scoured the forum and other sites for similar posts. There aren't many.

Interestingly, I put up a test version of OpenWRT using Wulfy23's latest snapshot then loaded the backup of running version. No errors.
