PBR on a Bridged AP

Dear,
I am using openwrt on my D-link 2640 a1,
I am using it as wired repeater with openvpn and guest wifi

I would like to use PBR on a Bridged AP,
can somebody guide me
thanks

Bridging does not permit routing. Explain more your topology.

On the guest network, you can use PBR to specify what traffic should go over the tunnel vs to the upstream router and out the normal WAN. This will only be applicable to the devices connected to the guest network, though (not the other SSID that is associated with the upstream LAN).

this is what i wanted to do with my guest network
@psherman , your explanation is excellent
can you please guide me
thanks

Have you looked at the PBR documentation?

https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/routing/basics#policy-based_routing

i am noob,
i have tried before 3 years with fail,
but this time under your guidance i will make it
just let me know where to start
Thanks

Basically existing WAN is just backend for VPN connection connection, then all traffic NAT-s or PBR-s into tunnel.

i dont have any wan connection
as i am using openwrt on my second router, which is only openwrt router at my place.
so wan interface is not present and only available interface is lan.

I want to connect my netflix on newzealand server and hotstar, prime, Jio cinema on Indian server,
How to do?
Please guide
Thanks

Your device - router is the bridge and it is not in the position to divert traffic to your specs.

So I have to have another router which have wan connection?

Another access point (software, not device) routed to VPN?

How to do it n the same router?
Please guide
Thanks
