Old thread but I’m hoping to revive it to discuss packet steering with RPS.
In LuCI → Network → Interfaces → Global → RPS we have options: Standard: None, Suggested: 128, 256, or custom.
While I find those options a bit confusing, the bigger issue reading about RPS at various sites I can’t see a clear answer on what would work best for most routers. It seems like none could be prefered, or even some say using much higher values than the ones listed is good. This could also greatly differ between x64 (e.g. N150 i226-V) and ARM (e.g. Filogic).
Is there a consensus on the right RPS setting?
