I'd thought I'd pass along some enlightenment, to me 8 hours ago, in my unenlightened state:
Here's the scenario. You CLONE openwrt.git . So far so good
You "make" your menuconfig and do a little dance, and press make
Suddenly after the build completes, you want to add packages
(dis editr sucks) NP> ./scripts feeds update -a; ./scripts/feeds/install -a
PROBLEM> your kernel has created a "magic" string which is
now wrong. ie.
opkg install tc
Collected errors:
- satisfy_dependencies_for: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies
for tc:- kernel (= 4.9.214-1-2b8f9dfe583e5c09aadd9474da55137f)
- opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package tc.
!THIS SUCKS BEAVIS! make clean; build again; watch Rachel Maddow, build again. The magic will be compatible the 2nd time. Oeace Out
