For some time now, the update plugin - attendedsysupgrade - has not been working for me. It sees the version, what packages are installed, you can choose what to update and from what version, but when you click the update button, an error immediately pops up with a list of packages and that's it. Or is this not the topic? There is only a console version here, and the version with the GUI is discussed elsewhere?

There are two causes of this:
You tried to create a 24.10.0-rc7 image before it was built and released;
That target wasn't registered with the ASU server due to a web hook failure.
As @Dante mentions above, #1 is the most likely. Since filogic is currently a very popular platform (OpenWrt One and many others), if the web hook failure were to happen, it would be rectified very fast. And indeed, I noted that it had failed for rc6 since I have a filogic device that I test on, so I reported it and @aparcar manually updated it immediately.
#2 will be a historical anomaly soon, as that's the specific issue that @aparcar has been working on for the last week or so. That's what all of our testers had been pounding on over the weekend on the staging server, thanks to all of you!
This problem was not related to RC7. It lasted for a month and from 23.X and 24.X and Snapshot.
Maybe it was a coincidence, but after my message everything was restored.

Just wanted to thank the people behind owut and by extension attendedsysupgrade. Today was one of the first times I was able to upgrade to a RC without any hitches on both devices (x86/64 and ASUS TUF AX6000).
I'm not sure what to do about 165 packages, doesn't feel very safe for me to just remove them. Some help? I had no problems from 24.10-rc5 -> rc6, but from rc6 -> rc7 I got this.

I tried to update from 24.10-rc5 to 24.10-rc7 with OWUT and I get

2 Wi-Fi managers in the firmware got together and the server didn't even notice the conflict.
Successfully upgraded my bthh5, gl-mt6000, and bpir4 from -rc6 to -rc7.

I got this error earlier this morning, but it worked fine a bit later,When attempting upgrade from 24.10.0-rc6 to 24.10.0-rc7, received this error:
From LuCI > Software on -rc6, looked like this.
I decided to upgrade then try owut again, but receive an upgrade error that said something to the effect of " https-dns-proxy: .... remove ..... Service not found."
( I lost the screenshot that was in buffer, and don't remember the exact verbiage)
Because of the error during upgrade, I decided to just uninstall https-dns-proxy, upgrade with owut ( which succeeded ) , then reinstall https-dns-proxy after upgrade.
It worked well. Thank you.
