Ostiary package unavailable in OpenWRT 25.12.2

After upgrading to OpenWrt 25.12.2, I recognized that package Ostiary is missing in the repository. Any idea why that is the case ?

Ostiary is a great tool, mentioned in several OpenWRT Wiki articles like [OpenWrt Wiki] Secure access to your router and [OpenWrt Wiki] Ostiary Daemon (run a fixed set of commands remotely). For the time being I grabbed ostiaryd from the respective 24.10.6 repository and with a bit of luck it is running without issues on my R2S on 25.12.2. But mid-term this might be no sustainable solution. Compiling by myself for 3 different OpenWRT platforms without any experiences is a bit challenging.

What is required to get Ostiary back into most recent Openwrt repositories ?

that explains, thanks. I also realized that the listed references to mobile clients in the OpenWRT wiki article are no more working. It looks as I simply had luck that the client was already installed on my mobile. Is there any good OpenWRT supported alternative solutions available that also work under IOS / Android ?

Use WireGuard to get access to your router.

This is how I do it:
WireGuard Server Setup Guide
It has clients for your phones and other computers.

Alternatively but a little bit less secure use SSH with key access.
For my Android phone I use Connectbot
