Orange pi zero support?!

#1

I see that orange pi plus is supported. Can orange pi zero get supported to?

#2

See https://forum.armbian.com/index.php?/topic/3025-building-openwrt-images-for-orange-pi-zero-with-the-armbian-kernel/

Yes, but I was asking why openwrt/lede project does not include files for building orange pi zero images in lede-imagebuilder package? There is only orange pi plus there. location build_dir/target-arm_cortex-a8+vfpv3_musl-1.1.16_eabi/linux-sunxi inside imagebuilder folder.

Because nobody send pull request? If you have this board do a patch and send it to the repo.

#5

I have the board. But I am novice to development. Is there some tutorial I can follow? I have experience with linux, but almost zero with this stuff...

#6

See https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/devel/add.new.device and target/sunxi as sample.

For those finding this thread and wondering how hard it'd be to get official support...

You'll probably need to find a way to incorporate the latest xradio driver into the OpenWRT/LEDE builds.

The current kernel is >3.4 (what Orange Pi has sources for) and the older driver builds likely won't work with the current kernel.

Probably wise to see if you can get your hands on an Orange Pi R1 or Zero Plus (as of this writing) instead.
